Sheba, I can't believe you are fifteen. We visited you and your family just last weekend and you are still such a grand lady. When I met you you were 10 and I didn't even realize it. You were beautiful then and you are beautiful now. Gary and Pat thought it was great that I was cuddling an "old" dog when there were fluffy pups around, but it was so obvious that you were special with more than looks. I love the way you keep your pack in order, and you deserve the privileges your place in the family gives you. Hi friends of mine, Thought I had better let you know how I've been doing lately. Well I have to tell you that I need a hand to get up now. Buggar, eh!! Means, when all the young 'uns run outside to chase the chooks out of Mum's garden, by the time I get on my feet all the excitement is over, so I can't stir quite as much as I used to. Bit of a pain really, but I am still capable of removing a chunk of the younger one's coats if they annoy me too much. That pays them back, lets them know I'm still the boss. Do you know I've even heard those offspring of mine arguing over who is going to have my bio-mag when I drop off my perch. Anyway. I can tell you that I am still definitely the BOSS IN THE KITCHEN, and really that is where I like to spend most of my day . Trouble is they won't give me all the food I want. They reckon I'll get too fat to help up. But today, I'm going to make sure I get all the extras I can. I reckon I deserve that much, don't you! |

CH KOKODA ARTIC WHISPER -SHEBA- 28-04-90 - 17-10-05 We were going to remove this page when we designed our "In Memory Of Sheba" page, but thought that there is really no better tribute that we could personally pay to Sheba than what was written to her, and about her, by all her human friends who met her personally, or simply through the internet, whose comments are below. Sheba touched the hearts of so many people, including children at Tauranga community functions and Christmas Parades, the elderly in rest homes, those she just met on the street, and whatever we write will never be enough to do her the justice she richly deserves. SHEBA, YOU WILL LIVE ON FOREVER IN THE HEARTS YOU HAVE TOUCHED ALL ARE MORE KNOWLEDGABLE THROUGH KNOWING YOU The music playing in memory of Sheba is called Keeper Of The Stars. So appropriate as Sheba was our first star. Our kennel name is Elanra - El*An*Ra - which represents the three control points located in the belt of Orion. El corresponds to the first star in Orion's belt, Al Mintaka, An to the second star in Orion's belt, Al Nilam, and Ra to the third star in Orion's belt, Al Nitak. These are the names of Sheba's first three pups and all her offspring have names connected with the Galaxy. When viewing the starry sky we always seek these stars out, feeling a great sense of reassurance that they are still present. |
